The site settings

General information

The site name, the contact e-mail, the telephone number and the address are picked up by your footer and by the blocks that display them: the address also feeds the Map block. The description is the sentence that sums up your business; it is the one Google and the social networks pick up when they quote your home page.

Language and country do not say the same thing

The site language is the one your pages are written in. The country of establishment, for its part, serves your legal pages: it is what settles the register quoted, the format of the VAT number and the applicable law. A site written in French from Belgium therefore does not carry the same legal notice as a French site.

Where messages arrive

By default, the enquiries received through your forms go to the address of the owner account. The « Messages du formulaire » (Form messages) section lets you name another one, and also tell the members who have access to messages.

Visual identity

Three images, and three distinct uses: the logo appears in the header, the favicon is the small icon on the browser tab, the sharing image is the one that shows up when someone pastes your address on a social network or in a messaging app.

Social networks and the WhatsApp button

The Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube addresses entered here become the icons of your footer. The WhatsApp button is a green badge placed at the bottom of every page: the visitor taps it and writes to you, without having to note your number down. That number is never written on the site, only the button is, and you can pre-fill the first sentence of the message.

Google Analytics, and what it implies

Pasting a measurement identifier in the G-XXXXXXXXXX format adds a consent banner to your site: Google Analytics places cookies, which the law requires you to have accepted before they are set. Nothing is measured until the visitor has accepted, and your legal notice then mentions it by itself.

• The field is reserved for paid plans; on the free plan it stays visible but locked.
• Leaving the field empty means sticking to Wobelio statistics, which place no cookies.

The free address, and deletion

Your site’s subdomain is changed in the « Adresse gratuite » (Free address) card. At the bottom of the screen, deleting the site asks you to type its name again: it takes away the pages, the messages, the articles and the statistics, and none of that can be recovered.
