What we check
Three independent sources, on every run. None is truer than the others, and it is by crossing them that a change of hands shows up before the registry publishes it.
The name servers
The earliest signal of a change of hands. A resold name switches its servers days before WHOIS announces anything. We tell you as soon as it switches.
The page
The status code, the final redirect and the title. A name that starts redirecting elsewhere has changed destination, and that is often the first visible sign of a resale.
Your keywords
The words you choose, searched in the text of the page. This is what separates "this site changed" from "this site started doing my job", and it is the only check you set yourself.

From your name, we watch the variants that remain free: the other extensions, and the most commonly registered typos. The day someone takes one, you know, and you can register it from your account before it is used against you.

How it works
The rule that governs everything: silence is the normal state. A watch that writes "nothing to report" every week ends up in an inbox rule, and the day it really has something to say, nobody reads it.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the domain check?
The check says whether a name is free today, in three seconds. The watch says what a name has become since last time: who took it, where it points now, what it shows. One answers a question, the other follows a situation.
Does it help if I have to defend my brand?
That is precisely the use. A case is built on dated facts, and a change recorded by a third party on the day it happened is worth more than a screenshot taken six months later. We give no legal advice, we give the timeline.
Can I watch a name that is not mine?
Yes, and that is the main use. Everything we check is public: the registry publishes its data, the DNS answers anyone who asks, the page shows for everyone. We do nothing a visitor could not do by hand.
How many names can I watch?
One name on a monthly watch for free, with two extensions followed for registration. The Veille option opens three, weekly, over six extensions and with typos. The Agence option goes to twenty-five, daily, over twelve extensions.
