Equipment, installation, any subscription, and the list of steps to take: declaring the system, signage, register.

Guarding companies and alarm installers are authorised and listed publicly. Ask for the number, and check it.
The agents’ card
Every security agent carries an identification card. An agent who cannot show it has no business on your site.
The insurance
Professional liability cover for damage caused during the work, with the amount stated in the quote.
