Where to buy it, and how to connect it
Wobelio does not register domains on your behalf yet. Buy yours from any registrar, in YOUR name, then connect it to your site: we show the two DNS records to copy, verify ownership and switch HTTPS on.

Register the name in your own name
At any registrar. Check that the holder is you and not your provider: that is what keeps you free to leave.

Add the two DNS records
We show them once the domain is added to your site. A TXT record proves the domain is yours, a CNAME points it at your site.

The site switches over
Once ownership is verified, your site answers on your domain and the HTTPS certificate installs itself. Nothing left for you to do.
Four rules for picking a name you will not regret
- Short and easy to say: it has to be dictated over the phone without spelling it out.
- No hyphens or digits if you can help it: those are what people drop when retyping it.
- Use the extension of your customers’ country: .be in Belgium, .fr in France. A .com only makes sense across several countries.
- Check that no registered trademark already carries that name in your industry.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the answer come from?
From the registry that runs the extension, queried live over RDAP, the protocol that replaced WHOIS. When a registry does not answer we show “undetermined” rather than guess.
Does this page reserve the name?
No. It looks the name up, it registers nothing. Until you have paid a registrar for the registration, the name stays available to everyone.
Can I buy the domain from Wobelio?
Not yet: buying a domain is not offered today. You buy yours wherever you like and connect it to your site, which takes two DNS records. A domain name is however included in the Shop and Business plans, for as long as the yearly subscription runs.
What if I have no domain at all?
You publish on the free .wobelio.com address, which is a real live site, indexable and shareable. You will connect your domain the day you buy it, without rebuilding the site or losing its content.
