Three materials, three uses. None is better everywhere.
What sets them apart
PVC
The best performance for the price, with no upkeep. The profiles are wider, which slightly reduces the glazed area.
Aluminium
Slim profiles, so more light, and large sizes possible. Thermally broken is a must in our climate.
Wood
The warmest looking, and the only one accepted everywhere in a protected area. Needs repainting every eight to ten years.
Wood-aluminium
Wood inside, aluminium outside: the look without the upkeep, at the highest price.
Glazing
Double or triple, solar control, laminated or frosted according to the orientation and the room.
Hardware
The part that ages fastest. We fit branded hardware, adjustable and repairable.
Frequently asked questions
On a north-facing wall or a very well insulated house, often yes. On a south wall it also cuts the free solar gain in winter: the calculation is made wall by wall.
